Following the shared vision to create digital entrepreneurs and assist young people upskill, GoDo.ng and TechEconomy.ng are collaborating on six-week long FREE Digital Marketing training for twenty (20) Nigerians.
In simple terms, the classes are meant to educate attendees on the channels and methods of promoting products or brands via one or more forms of electronic media, thereby reducing unemployment in the society.
“Typically, digital marketing differs from traditional marketing in that it involves the use of various channels and processes to enable an organization to analyze marketing campaigns and understand what is working and what isn’t – typically in real time. Now, that is where marketing is headed. Any company or brand that fails to recognise that is doomed,” said, the Community Manager at GoDo.ng, Bukola Fatunde.
She continues, “Digital marketers on the other hand monitor these things like, what is being viewed, how often and for how long, sales conversions, what content works and doesn’t work, etc.
“While the Internet is, perhaps, the channel most closely associated with digital marketing, others include wireless text messaging, mobile instant messaging, mobile apps, podcasts, electronic billboards, digital television and radio channels.
“Our concern at GoDo.ng is, how to leverage the innovation ecosystem through collaborations to provide the enabling fuel for groundbreaking digital and technological advancement, while tapping into local talent, support entities and international partnerships, hence, we found worthy partners in TechEconomy.ng”.
Peter Oluka, the Editor of TechEconomy.ng, further explained expected benefits at the training by attendees.
“The truth is that anyone selected for this training would become a pro at the end. Why? The faculty are tested hands. And this program is not essentially for just marketing professionals and business people; we want to see youngsters who are not intimidated by their present environment or situation”, he explained.
“This training is about value addition and designed to provide you with a comprehensive practical know-how of digital tactics and strategies across social media, mobile marketing, online analytics and search engine marketing, aimed at fully leveraging the power of the Internet for achieving business goals, such as acquiring, converting, and retaining customers”, he emphasised.
“If you are interested in improving sales, brand visibility, brand penetration, website performance, online marketing campaigns, search engine marketing and web analytics skills, then, the training is for you” he concluded.
According to the organisers, application has already commenced while training proper commences on September 20, 2018 and will end on October 26, 2018.
Selected participants shall be communicated on the venue and time for each training.
The modules will, however, cover digital marketing fundamentals; email marketing; social media marketing; content marketing for business; search engine marketing for business; mobile marketing and much more.
