Have you ever had the challenge of not having enough space or insufficient storage space, be it on your mobile device or on your laptop? Most of us may have had this challenge, one way or the other. You want to copy that nice movie, eBook, download a presentation or project, but it is just too big or too heavy for your device. That can be frustrating, right? This happens because storage devices, such as SD Cards, flash drives, etc., are all limiting in space.  You might think you have a Terabyte drive and may be exempted from insufficient storage issues, but with time, it is bound to get exhausted. For you to have unlimited storage space, you need to go for cloud storage services. Find out what you can do about this below:

What is a Cloud Storage?

Cloud storage Cloud Storage is a model of data storage in which digital data is stored in logical pools. The physical storage spans multiple servers, (and often locations), and the physical environment is typically owned and managed by a hosting company. Wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_storage Examples include Evernote, Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, etc.

Why should you use Cloud Storage?

We are now in the mobile dispensation, and as such, we do not have the power of a big space that the desktop might have. Here are three reasons why you should try Cloud storage services:

Easily get Access to all your Files and Documents anywhere

This is the main advantage or using Cloud storage. You can have access to any of your document as far as there is an internet connection. Surely, carrying along heavy external hard disks around can be burdensome. These cloud storage services can be accessed from your browser, example, you can access Evernote from your browser.

Easy to navigate and organize Document

You can use different cloud services for different purposes. You can upload document and receipts to Evernote, share photos on Dropbox, and collaborate on office documents on Google Drive.

Your document are secure

It is possible for your phone to crash which may make you lose your data and so can your other storage devices. This could be as a result of getting infected by a virus. Recovery of your data is either expensive or sometimes impossible. Cloud storage services helps you evade this and keeps your data stored for you in perpetuity.

Personally I was recently introduced to Evernote and somehow, I have found myself ditching Onedrive and Google drive because this tool is awesome. I cannot start to delve into its advantages here as they are numerous. You, however, need internet connection to enjoy Evernote, though you can work offline on it too, but for your work to be saved, you need to be internet connected.

  2. Advantages of Cloud ☁ Storage is limitless. It’s the best place to secure sensitive data and materials. The best part is, as long as the particular storage remains functional, the documents saved in such facilities would remain intact for as long as possible.
The last time I checked some videos and photos I saved in my Dropbox account over two years ago, I was shocked to find them pretty intact! It was fascinating and amusing at the same time.

    • You can say that again, it’s such a great tool to use, its just like giving people your data to store for you and get whenever and wherever you need it,
