CFA’s Startups Hangout started out of a burden to add more value to young entrepreneurs struggling to survive against all odds. It has since grown into a formidable platform that many of them really look forward to attending.
Thankfully, this is the 15th edition and it’s indeed our pleasure to be featuring a die-hard entrepreneur, who has built a number of thriving enterprises but now a top policy maker, as speaker.
We look forward to welcoming Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Education by 5pm on the 12th of July, 2018 @ Ikeja GRA. to attend.
This event is open to all start-ups and emerging entrepreneurs irrespective of industry. It is proudly powered by CodeLagos.
Obafela Bank-Olemoh will be on ground to share his story, how he resigned as a top executive in corporate Nigeria to becoming a successful entrepreneur and how he got into Government. Attendees will learn first hand, what drives this top-notch visionary to succeed.
What you should expect from the 15th edition?
One of the lessons we have learnt organising 14 previous editions is that each speaker is indeed different. That said, one thing we know about this speaker is his ability to conceive and see through big vision. Little wonder, why his office is behind giant and highly impact projects such as CodeLagos, Educate Lagos & Ready Set Work.
Meet the Speaker
Obafela is an astute visionary, strategist and administrator per excellence with a verifiable track record of impact in his almost 20 years of professional and social service engagements.
Representing a new generation of middle-aged Nigerians, he is passionately committed to the realization of the “New Nigeria”.
Before his appointment as the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Education, he was the Chief Executive Officer of MediaVision Limited, Nigeria’s Leading Events Management & Sports Marketing company, now with international affiliates.
Mr. Bank-Olemoh’s entrepreneurial spirit was nurtured at SystemSpecs Limited – the leading provider of software solutions for the Nigerian and the African Market, where he was enlisted as a graduate trainee and eventually rose to become Senior Manager (International Sales) before he resigned to pioneer and co-founder, MediaVision Limited in 2003.
