The Mr. Kalanick, CEO of Uber, the location based app that makes hiring ride easier, earlier last year resigned after receiving a letter titled “Moving Uber Forward” from their investors.

Without hesitation, Mr. Kalanick evacuated his position, saying “I love Uber more than anything in the world and at this difficult moment in my personal life I have accepted the investors request to step aside so that Uber can go back to building rather than be distracted by another fight.”

This shows his passion for the company and the progress of the enterprise matters most to him than any position. But this new move from Uber is to allow restructuring, as the company had faced ordeals after one former engineer detailed that she said there had been sexual harassment at the company. This opened the floodgates for more complaints and spurring internal investigations.

Also, Uber has been dealing with an intellectual property lawsuit from Waymo, the self-driving car business that operates under Google’s parent company, and a federal inquiry into a software tool that Uber used to sidestep some law enforcement.

Uber has been trying to move past its complicated history by appointing Expedia CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi to take the company’s new CEO role.

According to an email sent from the company to the employees, khosrowshahi came to America at nine years old when his family escaped Iran from the eve of the Iranian revolution.

He grew up in Tarry-town, N.Y., trained as an engineer at Brown, and spent many years at IAC serving as Chief Financial Officer and in various operational and strategic roles.

In 2005, he became CEO of Expedia which he built into one of the world’s leading travel and technology companies, now operating in more than 60 countries.

He has four children and not surprisingly loves to travel, one of his favorite trips being to the Angkor Wat temples in Cambodia where his wife Sydney said yes to marry him.

With Khosrowshahi interesting background, the Board and Executive Leadership Team are confident that he is the best person to lead Uber into the future building world-class products, transforming cities and adding values to the life of the drivers and riders around the world while continuously improving the company’s culture and making Uber the best place to work.

Khosrowshashi has joined Uber on 30th of August this year, to start from where his predecessor kalanick stopped. All hands have been on deck for Khosrowshahi looking how he’s going to transform Uber.
