$1.5 million. That’s mind-blowing! I can imagine how many job opportunities that will be given birth to from this as startup fund.
Coming home, how I wish our multimillionaire, billionaire, and well-to-do philanthropists would take a cue from this story.
all the people you mentioned and expect to do such things are business men, always looking for profit, they will need to really see a good spot to put their money in,
There are good spots they can invest in, and ICT plus Agriculture top the list. It’s just that they preferred to invest in foreign countries so that when the currency are converted to Naira, mehn! their bank accounts become bloated.
The fear of someone asking them where they got such money invested is another reason why they wouldn’t want to do it.
Only a person with the interest of his people at heart can do such a thing, and the indian prime minister is not left out. I just hope and pray that our gov’t and other well to do nigerians can also follow in his steps.
we all do hope so, somehow i still think we are just waking up from a very long sleep we have been, in fact, we have not started yet in terms of technology looking at what is going on in these countries, in as much that is, we still are hopeful for such things to happen here too, maybe not at such huge slash of money but little by little
@Gloria, I am extremely proud of the fact you are a lady and yet you’re keeping up with the activities here. Well done!
Wow, a really kind gesture by him. When we our leaders realize the importance of Technology in our economy???
