The surest way to reduce crime in the society is to engage the use of Technology. But, it has to start with the uniformed personnel first, especially, the police officers. Their uniform should have a tiny camera with a microphone attached so that, whatever they do or would be monitored. This, at least, would reduce bribery and corruption in the system.
Also, with the aid of functional CCTVs and, possibly, drones, coupled with the use of Robots of varying sizes, crimes would definitely become reduced to the bearable minimum.
Interesting one there dear Oyetade, funny how Police job has become a dumping ground for most people, saying ‘make I just manage am, wetin man go do’ I tell you Police work is one of the most intelligence based profession out there, esp their CIS dept, one thing to know that what to do, and another to do it
Funny CP said that he he police already already digitalized, is it the email they send that is digitalized, this is my first time of hearing this, if you watch CSI, The Detective, Medical Detectors on Dstv, you will marvel and wonder what sort of digitalization
Am i the only one who heard what the IG said. I quote “We already have a digitalized police force” is he really serious? Maybe in lagos cos i dnt see that from here. When have we ever solved a crime with the use of technology. I don’t intend to glorify the foreign countries bt you can see it even from their film, the use of CCTV cameras to solve crime, their computer analyst knows their work. Its so shameful that the nigerian police force is just a dumping ground to individuals who dnt even have basic knowledge on computer, pple who are there just for survival (their salary). To say the truth, crime fighting aided by the use of technology in nigeria is still a long way from realization except we do something about it and fast. Thanks.
Alright I’m going to check out the video.
The topic for discussion on the interview segment for this week edition of tech trends show on channels television is very interesting. Security is one major issue that affects nigerians. Security involves the safety of life and property. There have been many recent reported cases of crime ranging from arm robbery to kidnapping and other crimes which could have been curb if the necessary technology was available. Technology plays a major role in combating and reducing crime in the society. There so many gadgets and devices that can help the nigerian police in fighting crime in the society. The government should equip the nigerian police with the necessary technology to fight crime in the country. Ways government can equip the nigerian police with technology to fight crime is by installing cctv around nigeria. The use of mobile application for nigerian police can help them in fighting crime. In conclusion I can say nigerian police needs technology to effectively fight crime and provide security for nigerians.
I sometimes wonder how things were being done in the past where technology was quasi-inexistent . How did they really cope? In our present days, technology helps in almost; I was even trying to come up with just one field of life where you’d find technology’s absence: I’m yet to think of one. Health, education, media, politics, business, entertainment, nutrition, sports, industries, explorations, and even criminology. Technology is like the processor of the computer which is LIFE.
incredible, i am so much loving the new website outlook, great improvement and fresh look
